From unboxing to on air
There is no server to run and nothing to install on your computer. The only software is the player app on the device behind the screen.
Install the player
Put the CanPlay app on any Android device — a TV box, a tablet, a stick — and connect it to the display. It boots straight into pairing mode.
Pair with a code
The device shows a six-character Display ID and a QR code. Add it in your dashboard and the two are linked. The device never stores an account or a password.
Choose a layout
Pick one of nine templates or draw a free-form canvas with movable, overlapping zones. Each zone can run its own content sequence.
Add your media
Upload files, paste a URL, drop in a YouTube link, or show a published Canva design. Trim and adjust anything that needs it.
Schedule or push
Give it a date range and a daily window, or push it immediately. The player checks in every 15 seconds and picks up the change.
What you need
An Android device — most cheap TV boxes are plenty.
An HDMI screen or TV.
Wi-Fi or ethernet, at least for the initial sync.
A browser for the dashboard. That is the whole list.
What you do not need
No dedicated signage hardware or licence dongles.
No on-site server or VPN.
No fixed IP or inbound firewall rules — the player polls out.
Changing what is on screen
Content is not baked in. Every update is a push, and the screen catches it on its next poll.
